Our Why
We Live and Work Well When We are Connected!
We believe meaningful connections are essential to our health and well-being. At Naka Wells, we recognize that connection isn’t always easy, even in a crowded room or online. Whether it’s navigating major life transition or longing for a sense of belonging and team cohesion, we all need meaningful connection for our health and well-being. Because when we are well, we thrive instead of survive— at home, work, and in the community.
We are here to hold space for connections that inspire well-being —at home, work, and in the community.
“While loneliness has the potential to kill, Connection has even more potential to heal.” Dr. Vivek Murthy
Hey, I’m Nanah!
Founder of Naka Wells.
I find joy in quality time with loved ones, grounding in nature, and being on my mat—my happy places.
With a Master of Public Health and a certificate in Organizational Wellness, I’ve spent over 12 years serving communities through the development and implementation of health and wellness programs.
Through this work, I witnessed many struggling—not just with chronic conditions, but with a deeper, often overlooked challenge: a lack of meaningful connection. I saw this not only in others, but in myself. While navigating motherhood, career, and relationships, I often felt lonely—even when surrounded by people and active on social media. I lacked the tools to create and sustain the kinds of connections that truly supported my well-being.
So I did the inner work. I deepened my focus on personal and social well-being, drew on my professional training, and developed what I now call my Connection Tool-belt—a collection of practices that guide the virtual socials, coaching, and events I now lead.
Holding space for myself gave me the capacity to hold space for others. I enjoy collaborating with individuals and organizations committed to fostering well-being—at home, at work, and in the community—through intentional and fun connection.
I’m passionate about holding space for connections that nourish relationships, promote health and well-being, spark joy, and support collective thriving.
