Well-being starts with Meaningful

It’s time to ReConnect. Recharge. Thrive.

Yet, many of us are grappling with loneliness & isolation.

While loneliness affects our health & well-being, meaningful connection restores it.

Many of us are feeling more disconnected than ever before- we are experiencing an epidemic of loneliness, according to Dr. Vivek Murthy, former U.S. Surgeon General. He reminds us that chronic loneliness can be as harmful to our health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day—raising the risk for heart disease, stroke, and depression and eroding our personal, professional and collective wellness.

Whether at home, with community members, at the office or remote, or on our phones- we are lonely. According to the American Psychiatric Association, a 2024 poll found that 1 in 3 adults reported feeling lonely at least once a week. We believe this number is not telling the whole story, countless others are silent about their experience with loneliness including youth.

Loneliness impacts our daily lives—how we connect with ourselves and others. At home, we feel disconnected and alone. At work, it erodes team dynamics and organizational culture affecting efficiency . In our communities, we often feel isolated, even with friends or in a crowd.

We have to do something or this epidemic will worsen. At Naka Wells, we’re holding space by prioritizing social well-being—where meaningful connections spark belonging, joy, well-being, and resilience.

Let’s fight loneliness together!
